Dear WOPC Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and that you are enjoying the long awaited arrival of the warm, sunny weather!
WOPC would like to wish a very happy Mother’s Day to all the hardworking, supportive, and loving mothers and caregivers in our community! To celebrate we had provided snacks and refreshments as a small token of our appreciation for the important role you play in your children’s lives.
We would also like to extend warm wishes to all families who celebrate Eid. We hope you had a joyful celebration with your loved ones.
Seasonal Updates and Reminders:
As we head into the warmer months, we kindly ask families to send their child with a sun hat and sunscreen each day. Please ensure sunscreen is applied before drop-off in the morning to help protect your child during the morning outdoor activities. Staff will continue to reapply sunscreen as needed throughout the day according to centre policies.
We are happy to announce that West Oakville Preschool will be implementing a Summer Soccer Program from June 1 to August 21, 2026. Once each week, the children will have the opportunity to participate in fun soccer activities, learn basic soccer skills, and enjoy a variety of ball games on the field with Miss Sarah! We look forward to helping the children stay active, build teamwork skills, and have fun outdoors this summer!
Starting the first week of July and continuing through the end of August, each class will have one designated day per week to enjoy a Water Play Day! Children are invited to pack a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes on the day they are assigned. During these outdoor sessions, the children will have fun cooling off with our splash pad and water table activities! More information regarding each class’s scheduled day will be shared with families soon.
